### Ignoring Significant Figures and Units

A numerically correct answer without the right units or appropriate significant figures often loses a mark that has nothing to do with your chemistry understanding — purely a formatting slip that's easy to fix with practice.

How to Practice Effectively

Past papers remain the best tool here, but pair them with actively writing out full-sentence explanations for "why" questions rather than just checking if your final number matches the mark scheme — that's where most marks are actually won or lost.
